Like most good futures projects, I have been shaped and changed by the work I’ve done with clients over the past years. It’s time for those shifts to be reflected in my work and my brand.
I’m saying goodbye to Wabi Sabi Futures, and hello to The Understory Art Therapy.
Those of you who have been along for the ride since the early days of Wabi Sabi might remember that I’ve been curious about the connection between foresight and an arts practice from the get go – it was the topic of one of my early pieces of public writing.

I am currently welcoming new clients

Working in futures has offered me a space for reflective conversations about what feels true, what feels possible, and what kinds of futures we are actively shaping for ourselves. In this respect, the shift into art therapy is not so big a step. It means that rather than having these conversations with colleagues within organisations, I’m making space to do more targeted and emergent work with individuals as we explore what matters to them.
For those of you still interested in working with me around exploring business and work challenges, a work-focused, arts-based coaching offering is emerging. I’ve begun working in this way with a few Wabi Sabi Futures clients, and have found this is a dynamic, exciting way to draw on my new qualifications as well as my previous training and experience in the futures, facilitation, and change leadership space. If this is something you’d like to explore, please get in touch.

Finding a new rhythm
I am finding my rhythm for this new way of working. From time to time I will reach out to let you know about public offerings I have available. These will primarily take place in person around Naarm / Melbourne, but there may be the occasional interstate jaunt.
I would like to start regularly sharing my writing again. If I am able to reconnect with that cadence, I’ll share my thinking out loud with you.
For those of you who are excited about this new development, thank you for being here. I look forward to sharing more, and possibly meeting you if the occasion is right.
